ABOUT PETER LUMAJ
Peter Lumaj, an attorney-at-law, was born and raised in Communist Albania. Lack of freedom and opportunity

They left behind their parents and their seven other siblings, who suffered severe persecution in the hands of the communist government.
OUR HISTORY.
Once in the United States, Lumaj learned English and enrolled in the City University of New York. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. While attending City University, he worked as a porter and a doorman to support his family and to pay for his education. Later, Lumaj enrolled in the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While attending law school, he worked as a fraud investigator in the Giuliani Administration.
Peter Lumaj became involved in Connecticut politics in 2012 when he made a brief run for the United States Senate, but later withdrew from the race for the sake of party unity.
In 2014, Lumaj was selected as the Republican nominee for Connecticut Secretary of the State at the Republican State Convention winning 86.1% of the vote. In the 2014 general election, Lumaj is credited with running one of the closest races for statewide office in recent history in Connecticut.
